Job Title: Controls Technician
The Controls Technician role will support Trane UK Ltd customers within the commercial Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Facilities, and Office Buildings.
Main Responsibilities:
* Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing on assigned projects.
* Documenting point to point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close out requirements.
* Representing the company as the direct customer contact responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
* Maintaining and enhancing knowledge on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
* Using cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units within systems.
* Collaboration with Service desk, Sales, and Operations Team: Establish strong communication channels to share key customer insights.
* Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
* Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional customer service.
* Communicates & coordinates with local field service representatives, regions service leaders and senior technicians, and customers on updates and to drive continuous improvement.
* Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
* Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate technicians to deliver customer experiences.
* Effective communication skills.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in using, Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.
* Knowledge of manufacturing industry an advantage.
* People and communication skills with a positive mindset.
* Able to work with minimal supervision & a good team player.
* Able to cover standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis to include weekday, weekends and bank holidays with travel and overnight stays to meet the customer needs.
* UK Drivers license as a company vehicle will be allocated.
* Right to Work status confirmed for Country of application.
