About Us:
Keystone Design is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in Blackpool on a full-time basis. We are a family-run business with over 35 years of industry experience, and we pride ourselves on our collaborative team of structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and technicians. We offer a range of services including principal designer duties under building design, and project management.
As part of our team of professionals, you will play a key role in delivering our core services duties including conducting building surveys, inspections, assessments, building design and contract administration. Your expert advice on building condition, maintenance, and legal compliance will help drive our projects forward. Key Responsibilities:
• Structural and condition surveys.
• Ability to Produce accurate measurement surveys.
• Tender documents, including CDM documentation and F10 notifications to HSE.
• Building Design & Detail.
• Contract administration & site supervision.
• Development of design to construction stage of building projects.
• Provide support to the director.
• Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
• Utilise AutoCAD for modifying drawings for planning and building regulations.
• Ability to Interpret civil and structural drawings accurately.
• Prepare and review specifications and schedules of works.
• Liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, local authorities, and third parties (both written and verbal communication).
• Ensure that properties/ project comply with local building codes, planning regulations, industry standards, and health and safety laws
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in Relevant Construction Field.
• Membership of appropriate institution
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of NBS specification system is an advantage.
Desirable Requirements:
• Proficiency Using Microsoft Office
• Confident Using AutoCAD
• Proven experience in site inspections and surveys.
• Familiarity with working on projects involving steelwork, masonry, timber, and reinforced concrete.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively to the recognised office standard.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Adherence to office health & safety and safe working procedures on site and in office.
