Job Title – Revenue Analyst (6-month fixed position)

As Revenue Analyst – The role is responsible for maximising revenue for a multi-million pound portfolio of rental locations, by accurately forecasting customer demand, optimising pricing and managing availability.
The role requires excellent commercial awareness and strong analysis-based decision making capability, together with effective communication and stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will ideally have had prior Revenue Management, Forecasting or Pricing experience, be an excellent communicator and be confident in making and accepting responsibility for decisions that impact the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
All the below relates to cars, vans, selection and mobility.
Forecasting
1. Forecast future customer demand, and capacity requirements based on business plans, strategy, market trends, demand and availability.
2. Ensure forecasting is accurate, and above target levels and meet strict regular deadlines.
3. To provide latest estimate forecasting in line with financial forecasts to maximise revenue opportunities.
Pricing
1. Deliver the agreed pricing strategy by location.
2. Dynamically adjust prices to optimise revenue, within a predefined best practice framework and ensure booking build is in line with forecast.
3. Review competitor behaviour by various factors including, location, vehicle type, rental length, source countries and business channels.
4. Understand demand and supply of car rental vehicles, e.g. advance reservations, fleet supplies and historic performance.
5. Creation and implementation of logical pricing structures across several business channels.
6. Recommend and implement changes to current processes to improve efficiency.
7. With support, provide / present MI reports to the wider business.
Revenue
1. To propose, implement and assess actions to maximise revenue, combining knowledge of current business performance, market position and demand, resource availability and business channel mix.
2. To respond with clarity and direction when resolving complex tactical and strategic situations as they arise.
3. To contribute directly to the alignment of activities across different departments (Fleet, Operations, Corporate Sales) and to continually apply revenue management practices to improve business profitability.
4. To ensure availability is in line with forecasted volume, RPD and revenue.
5. Contribute to maintenance and development of internal systems including reservation, reporting and bespoke RMS.
