Main duties of the job
We currently have 1 vacancy for a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse. If you have significant critical care experience at Band 5, hold a post-registration qualification in Critical Care, and have high compliance with mandatory training, mentorship qualification or equivalent, we encourage you to apply. You must show evidence of professional development.
The successful candidate must be flexible and have an innovative approach to caring for the critically ill, with an ability to introduce change to develop and encourage evidence-based nursing practice. This post is rotational between ITU and HDU and involves rotation of days and nights.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* Significant critical care experience
* Critical Care Course/ENB 100 or equivalent
* Mentorship/teaching and assessing course or equivalent
* Leadership course
Knowledge and Skills
* Proficient in all key skills in critical care. Assessment and examination based on Critical Care Competency Framework
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrate ability to organise and plan own work and others
* Demonstrate the ability to support the critical care team under pressure
* Be aware of national, local, and professional protocols, standards, and guidelines
* Ability to handle conflict
* Demonstrates excellent leadership skills
