Your new company A global professional membership body Your new role To manage all aspects of buildings hard services, including HVAC and ensure a safe, well-serviced and cost-effective working environment at all times. To ensure the client meets its entire statutory requirement in relation to hard services and to support the building's strategy by carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance works and programmes that maintain and enhance the building service and fabric to the highest standard. Direct management of an external FM contract for hard services, ensuring that all reactive and PPM tasks are delivered timely and cost-effectively. Direct management of on-site M&E contractors. Overall responsibility for ensuring plant, equipment, and systems are appropriate, effective, and maintained (e.g., heating systems, air-conditioning systems, water and drainage systems, gas infrastructure, kitchen facilities, electrical systems, cabling, lift equipment). Reactive maintenance management. Management of contracts, projects, BAU, and reactive maintenance works in line with the approved departmental budgets. What you'll need to succeed Experience Experience of working as a Maintenance & Engineering Manager within a corporate setting. Experience of managing external maintenance contractors. Knowledge of building systems and maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, security, structural. Demonstrable aptitude for problem-solving and providing excellent customer service. Demonstrable experience of supporting projects. Good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Regulatory knowledge: Health & safety, building codes and standards, maintenance compliance requirements, environmental regulations. Competent user of Microsoft Office packages.Qualifications A recognised qualification in a relevant trade such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general building maintenance. Relevant professional working experience, or qualification in relevant subject area. H&S qualification &/or working understanding of H&S legislation.
