What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic and dynamic Art and Photography Teacher to join us for September 2025 start.This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and friendly team that is dedicated to delivering an exciting and culturally relevant curriculum across KS3 to KS5.
Our Curriculum aims to help students engage withthe world of art beyond school as an important part of human imagination and expression, building skills,enrich and be a powerful form of communication.
The department consists of bright and airy purpose built studiospaces for all yeargroups including a darkroom, kiln and printing press, and is supported by a full time and highly experiencedtechnician to support all practical aspects of our teaching. Our student's work is regularly celebrated in our corridor exhibition space and of course in our yearly GCSE and A Level Exhibitions, as well as our KS3 showcase as part of the wider school summer fair celebrations.
The successful candidate will have:
• A proven track record of success in the classroom where you have made a positive difference to all students through high quality adaptive teaching
• Experience in Art teaching at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
• A commitment to inclusion, underpinned by the belief that every child matters and can achieve
• An unwavering commitment to maintain the highest of expectations for yourself and others
• Experience of leading and developing staff to support them to be their best
