We are recruiting an AAT Level 4 Qualified Accounting Technician to work for an innovative and dynamic practice business based in Halesowen. If you are proficient in Xero and have knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Line 50 and eager to work with growth orientated small to mid sized businesses we want to hear from you!
The main duties will be:
1. Accurately manage clients' financial data using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage Line 50.
2. Process payroll, including pensions, CIS adjustments, tax codes, and deductions, while ensuring HMRC compliance.
3. Create statutory financial statements (FR102/FR105) for SMEs across industries like retail, hospitality, and construction.
4. Prepare corporation tax (CT600), personal tax (SA100), VAT, and CIS contractor submissions, staying updated on tax law changes.
5. Deliver insightful financial/management reports, including budgets, forecasts, cashflows, and KPIs.
6. Provide personalized support, responding promptly to queries while fostering long-term partnerships.
7. Use advanced software features to enhance efficiency, focusing on advisory services and client growth.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
1. AAT Level 4 qualification is ideal but if you have AAT Level 3, we would still like to hear from you.
2. Strong experience with Xero; knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Line 50 is highly desirable.
3. Deep understanding of SME tax and regulatory needs.
4. Ensures accuracy in all financial and compliance work.
5. Builds trust with a professional, personable approach.
6. Provides actionable insights to support clients' strategic decisions.
7. Comfortable with technology, automation, and learning new tools.
8. A full UK driving license is required.
9. Is enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to help clients achieve their business goals.
