Whitdale ELC is seeking to appoint a nurturing and motivated pupil support worker. The successful candidate will have a positive approach to working with children by providing general support in relation to the child’s individuals’ care, health and wellbeing and safety; to ensure a secure and safe learning environment.
The candidate should be solution focussed with an understanding of supporting pupils within an educational setting and how to foster positive relationships. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be required to work effectively as part of our ELC team to support the learning of the children.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
