We are seeking a Document Controller / Administrator to join our team on a civil engineering construction project in the Midlands. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient management of project documentation, records, and administrative processes. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced construction environment, supporting the project team with document control, compliance, and office administration. This position will be based in Birmingham. Work pattern: Full time, Permanent - 5 days a week in the office. Key Duties: Document Control & Compliance: · Maintain and update document management systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. · Control the distribution of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. · Ensure document revisions are correctly logged and archived on the document management systems. · Support the team in ensuring compliance with QA procedures and company standards. Administration & Office Support: · Assist with general site administration, including filing, data entry, and correspondence. · Support the project team with meeting coordination, minutes, and action tracking. · Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other project-related documentation. Communication & Coordination: · Act as a point of contact for document-related queries from engineers, subcontractors, and clients. · Ensure efficient communication between office and site teams. · Liaise with external suppliers and consultants to ensure timely receipt and distribution of project documents. Skills / Experience required for the role: Qualifications & Experience: · Previous experience in a document control or administrative role, preferably within construction or civil engineering. · Proficiency in using document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite, 4Projects, or similar software). · Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). · Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems (desirable). · Hold a Full UK Driving License Personal Skills & Attributes: · Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. · Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
