Job summary We're recruiting for a Porter/Cleaner to join our team at Wallingford Community Hospital on a part-time bases (20 hours per week). You'll be working on a two week rolling rota which covers Monday - Sunday where you'll be on shift every other weekend. If you have a proven track record of being able to deliver a high-quality portering and cleaning service this could be the role for you and we want to hear from you Main duties of the job Receive and check food deliveries, checking delivery temperature and reporting discrepancies to head housekeeper following food hygiene regulations Deliver meals to and from the kitchen onto the ward areas. Available for the movement of patients within the Hospital complex, as required. Collection of pharmacy boxes and pathological specimens. (Special arrangements apply on Saturdays and Bank Holidays Collection of dirty linen. Distribution of clean linen at weekends and holidays. Collection of refuse and other waste, ensuring that any waste bins in outside public areas are regularly emptied. Keeping stores and medical gas compound clean and tidy and kept secure at all times, reviewing medical gas trolleys and delivery medical gas to the relevant departments onrequest.
