We offer intensive, abstinence-based programmes with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support. The successful candidate will have experience within the field, be conversant with the principles and practices of abstinence based treatment, in particular the 12-step informed approach, and hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling and/or a relevant professional qualification in addictions. The successful candidate will hold full BACP accreditation. This full-time role will involve the facilitation of specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups, individual sessions, and the completion of assessments and treatment plans for patients referred to our addictions service. Our service is based on a strong, friendly multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on supporting our staff through regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential. Applications from those working towards successful BACP accreditation within the next six to 12 months can be considered, with a revised salary banding of £27,810-£36,050 pro rata (depending on experience) until full accreditation is achieved. Please note that the successful candidate should be available to work from Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Thursday from 11:00am-7:00pm, with the requirement to work an occasional rotational Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
