Mechanical QC Inspector – Welding & Fabrication – covering the South East £450 per day (outside IR35) overnight accommodation allowance (if required) 12-month contract (rolling) Mechanical QC Inspector responsibilities include: Provide independent quality control services and supply chain competency assessments relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction. Review customer requirements/specifications and prepare Quality Plans/ITPs. Review and accept incoming NDE and weld procedures from sub suppliers. Review and accept incoming material certificates. Liaise with Inspection Bodies, Customers and other appointed Third Parties on inspection. Review and sign off completed documentation packages. Maintain Product Registers. Produce periodical reports as requested by the business. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers. Mechanical QC Inspector profile: An experienced quality control Engineer, with min 3yrs experience in equipment inspections & quality control in welding & fabrication. C&G Cert / or equivalent Fabrication & welding or similar level engineering qualification. CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector. QMS ISO 9001 Auditor certified. Knowledge of ASME Code including materials, welding and NDE techniques. Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries. Ability to work successfully in a team, giving guidance, support and training as and when necessary. Comfortable covering various fabrication sites across the South East UK and flexible to travel further afield on occasion if required.
