SEN Teaching Assistant Could you be a strong primary Teaching Assistant? Could you support primary pupils on a 1:1 basis? Could you build strong relationships with primary aged pupils? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a primary SEN school that is based in the Haywards Heath area. The school cater for primary aged pupils between the ages of 6-12, all pupils will have Autism and ADHD and will have EHCP’s (Educational, Health, Care, Plans). The chosen teaching assistant will be expected to support their pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. About the school: The school cater for primary aged boys who have a range of needs, the boys require mainly 1:1 support throughout the day – academically and with their needs. The chosen teaching assistant must be able to build relationships with the boys as you will be working closely with them throughout the school day. About the role: The chosen teaching assistant will be supporting their pupils in class, in-between class and during school outings. It’s important that you’re have an understanding for special needs as well as having an interest in sports as the school is very vocational.
