We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our practice team. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about healthcare and keen to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
We are looking for 30 hours per week ideally but this is negotiable. We would require the successful applicant to be available to work on a Wed & Fri.
Main duties of the job
Working under direct supervision of the Lead nurse and GPs and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of clinical care. Duties are varied including phlebotomy, health checks, ECGs, injections (B12/Flus etc), and blood pressure checks (including 24/48/72hrs monitoring), LTC support.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work alongside the rest of the nursing team and under the supervision of the practice nurses to provide treatment, preventative care, health promotion, and patient education to our diverse patient group.

* Qualified in Phlebotomy
* Ability to provide quality care
* Skills in Phlebotomy, ECGs, Patient Health Checks, Blood Pressures
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Good organisational skills

* Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
* Adaptable to change
* Experience in a GP Practice
