As a HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teachers and students across a range of subjects and age groups. You will lead learning activities, cover lessons, and provide targeted interventions to help all students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across a variety of subjects. Lesson Delivery: Lead whole-class sessions or small group work in the absence of a teacher, ensuring high-quality learning continues. Intervention Support: Work with individual students or small groups, providing targeted interventions to support academic progress, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Behavioural Support: Promote positive behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Assessment and Feedback: Assist in the assessment of students’ work and provide feedback to students to promote their learning. About You: To be successful in this role, you should possess: HLTA Qualification (or equivalent experience). Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly in a teaching assistant or HLTA role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and students. Confidence in leading classes and supporting students of varying abilities.
