Compliance & Building Safety Supervisor

We are working with a social housing provider based in Somerset who are looking for an experienced compliance & building safety professional to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for all health & safety property compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
1. This is a key role ensuring the safety and compliance of a portfolio of social housing properties.
2. You will be leading on the effective management of statutory, regulatory and legislative responsibilities for The Big 6 compliance areas including: fire, asbestos, legionella, lifts, electric, gas, and other compliance services.
3. Oversee a team of building safety & compliance officers, supporting in performance management, personal development, and recruitment for the teams.
4. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programmes, ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
5. Ensure compliance surveys/inspections are undertaken as required and that actions are completed within timescales.
6. Monitor/manage fire safety compliance across the property stock portfolio, including planning for and implementing recommendations from FRAs.
7. Manage stakeholders and build on working relationships.
8. Take the lead on internal and external audits.

Job Requirements:
1. Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised fire safety qualification & P405 certificate if required.
2. Experience of working in Social Housing.
3. Detailed knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act.
4. Full Driving Licence.
