Mechanical Engineer
Location: HMP Send, Ripley Rd, Ripley, Woking GU23 7LJ
Salary: £41,818.21 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hrs per week
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Send, a closed category adult female prison.

As a Mechanical Engineer (Plumber), you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a combination of:
1. Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
2. Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
4. Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
5. C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating
6. C&G 5962 certificate in Plumbing (Advanced craft)
7. C&G 6019 Mechanical Engineering services (plumbing)
8. C&G 6018 heating and ventilation installation
9. C&G 6129 certificate in Plumbing
10. C&G 214 Engineering systems maintenance
11. C&G 6188 Heating and ventilating
12. C&G 6088 certificate in heating and ventilating
13. C&G 6032 the advanced craft certificate in plumbing
14. EAL Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
15. Good Health & Safety knowledge
16. Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
