We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter or a Senior Mechanical Fitter on behalf of our West Bromwich based client who are a leading manufacturer for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others.
This Mechanical Fitter role is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will work as part of a highly skilled mechanical engineering team and have experience as a qualified mechanical fitter.
Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment working on equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pipework etc.
2. Mechanical plant installation and modification work.
3. Statutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning work.
4. The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
5. The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Mechanical Fitting/Engineering discipline as a minimum.
2. Ideally you would have a recognised Mechanical apprenticeship.
3. Ideally you would also have training with MEWP's, Abrasive wheels and Confined Spaces.
Career development is possible with both internal and external training available.
The salary is £29,952 to £35,940 (Normal grade) or £33,264 to £39,912 (Senior grade) plus 25 days paid holiday (and all UK Bank Holidays), a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm.
