Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of new processes, equipment, and assembly systems.
* Identify improvement opportunities in safety, quality, throughput, and cost by examining equipment, processes, operations, and procedures.
* Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
* Optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvement techniques.
* Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates in like-new condition.
* Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures, and provide daily project coordination and troubleshooting.
* Develop visual work instructions and support production and process troubleshooting.
* Focus on cost reduction through scrap, rework, and cycle time improvements.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience managing capital projects involving new equipment and systems.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks Creo.
* 2-4 years of engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of engineering principles, Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Education:
* BS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience with demonstrated knowledge in the field.
* Alternatively, 6 years of equivalent experience with a combination of training and education approved by Human Resources.
Physical Requirements:
* The position involves sitting for long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
