The Agency provides information, advice, support and funding to eligible Scottish domiciled students studying courses of Higher Education in the UK. Responsibilities About the role: As an ARAC Member, you will: Provide independent oversight of SAAS’ governance, risk, and assurance frameworks. Contribute expertise in audit, risk management, and financial oversight. Support and challenge SAAS in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance. Understanding of public sector governance and accountability structures. Strong analytical skills and ability to scrutinise strategic risk and performance. Collaborative and confident in providing independent challenge. Remuneration and Time Commitment Approximately 10 days per year (a mix of in-person and online meetings). remuneration of £208.12 per day/£104.06 per half-day. Note that this role is not pensionable.
