Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality and Health & Safety Engineer with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our quality assurance processes and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
Oversee inspection processes, including first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
Utilize precision measurement tools to ensure product specifications are met.
Collaborate with clients to understand and meet their quality requirements.
Lead internal and external audits to uphold quality standards.
2. Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to ISO 45001 and all relevant health and safety regulations.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for staff.
Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a Quality and/or Health & Safety Engineering role within the sheet metal fabrication industry.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
Proficiency in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing quality control measures.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
Relevant certifications in quality management and health & safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.
