As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Quality Team by ensuring project-wide quality standards are met. You will be responsible for managing supplier quality, conducting investigations, and driving continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities:
* Apply quality measures across projects to maintain consistency and compliance.
* Conduct quality investigations, including root cause analysis and 5 Whys methodology.
* Ensure alignment of Project Quality Plans and Manufacturing Inspection and Test (MIT) Plans.
* Act as a key interface with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Collect, analyse, and report quality data for management insights.
* Manage non-conformance issues, identify preventive actions, and drive resolutions.
* Conduct audits across projects and specific work streams.
Essential Skills:
* Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline.
* Minimum ONC/HNC qualification in Engineering.
* Practitioner Grade Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) or equivalent.
* Formally recognised Quality qualification (e.g., IRCA Audit).
* Experience working in large-scale, regulated engineering projects.
* Strong understanding of quality control principles and ISO 9001 compliance.
* Auditing experience within a technical or engineering environment.
Desired Skills:
* Experience within the nuclear, energy, or infrastructure sector.
* Familiarity with Lifetime Quality Records and Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans.
* Knowledge of NCR facilitation and regulatory compliance.
* Previous experience working on Hinkley Point C or similar nuclear projects.
* Ability to manage and influence stakeholders across different project phases.
