A very unique company based in the heart of Chester are on the lookout for a Drainage Design Engineer to join the team.
The company is a forward-thinking landscape architecture, engineering, and ecology design studio working across a range of sectors from residential, education, commercial, and visitor destination projects. They have created a studio where their designers' passion for working with nature can be fully realised. They aim to provide an outstanding quality of service with a nature-led design approach to create holistic solutions that connect people with nature, enhance biodiversity yet provide practical design solutions for the future.
The right Drainage Design Engineer will be mainly responsible for:
1. Production of technical design information in the areas of cut and fill, highways design, and sustainable drainage design for planning submission through to full detailed design, working from the feasibility stage through to construction.
2. Engagement with strategic partners such as Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Water Authorities, SAB, Lead Local Flood Authorities, and Local Highways Authorities.
3. Collaboration with internal and external design team members, clients, and technical specialists.
4. Helping to support the engineering team's growth and support the training of junior members of the team.
The right Drainage Design Engineer will have:
1. At least 3+ years of experience in a consultancy environment working on drainage design.
2. Experience of Causeway Flow and AutoCAD design software as a minimum. Experience of PDS, Live Design, or Site 3D would be advantageous.
3. Understanding of legislation and procedures relevant to the discipline.
4. Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of practical experience, ideally working towards a professional qualification.
5. Experience of multi-tasking, working on several projects and client accounts at any given time.
