Maintenance Supervisor

Role Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor with a strong background in electrical and mechanical equipment systems to lead our maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and experience in maintenance management. Reporting to the Site Services Manager it will be your responsibility to help ensure that production here at Abel & Cole runs smoothly. Leading a team of 4 Maintenance Engineers you will execute effective troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance routines to prolong the useful life and optimise efficiency of our production and facilities equipment. We’re a collaborative bunch here at Abel & Cole and the Maintenance team are right at the heart of keeping us up and running so that we can continue to deliver superb service to our customers. You will play an important role in helping us to do this by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdown and ensure maintenance cover for production areas is always provided. We have some big plans for production here and as such this is a superb time to join the organisation and become a key member of our maintenance team as we embark on this journey. Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:
1. Carry out repairs on machinery in all areas of our Andover operations as expediently as possible and liaise with production personnel to minimise downtime.
2. Make decisions under pressure – there’s a lot going on at any given time here at Abel & Cole!
3. Ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out correctly in a timely manner.
4. Ensure a safe quantity of Production and Operational critical spares and long lead time parts are held onsite.
5. Make sure that all repair and maintenance documentation is maintained in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, GMP, and company Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
6. Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness standards are adhered to.
7. Actively champion a culture of H&S and pride in the workplace.
8. Identify and recommend improvements, replacements and repairs as appropriate.
9. Manage day to day maintenance spending in line with the Site Services budget.
10. Training and development of maintenance staff.
11. Although based at our Andover sites, some travel may be necessary from time to time to support our other sites around England.
Here’s what we are looking for:
12. Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical maintenance role within a commercial manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of electrical systems and be able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical diagrams. Be able to fault find and repair complex electro-mechanical equipment/systems. Experience of installation and maintenance of various electro-mechanical equipment/systems.
13. Must hold at least level 3 City & Guild building services ‘electrical installation route’ and/or Level 3 Diploma in Installation of Electrotechnical systems & equipment. Must also hold 18th Edition
14. Experience of working within and leading a diverse workforce
15. The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
16. Highly organised with the ability to multitask.
17. Professional, honest with integrity.
18. Experience working with a CMMS.
19. IT literate, particularly in MS Office applications.
20. Good understanding of LOLER/PUWER regulations.
21. A knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
22. Good understanding written and oral skills.

24. This is a full-time position as we want to spend lots of time with your wonderful self – hours per week. Due to existing shift pattern the Maintenance team follow ( – & – ). This role is expected to bridge across both shifts ( – ).
25. 33 days inclusive of bank holidays running from the 1st May to 30th April.
