PURCHASING ASSISTANT
PERIVALE
SALARY CIRCA £35,000 BUT VERY MUCH DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Our client specializes in supplying, servicing, and hiring commercial and industrial equipment, and they are now looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join their team based in Perivale.
This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out within the role and identifies the level of responsibility. However, the position may also require other duties which are to be carried out from time to time as deemed appropriate by your line manager.
Key Duties
1. Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock.
2. Work alongside store person to ensure stock levels are maintained.
3. Raise purchase orders for goods/services for all depots and record accurate ETA for all deliveries.
4. Maintain supplier price lists on the system.
5. Save parts delivery notes on shared drive.
6. Goods receiving items on the system.
7. Log all discrepancies, amounts delivered, etc. to assist with supplier negotiations.
8. Verify invoices for all orders placed to ensure correct pricing.
9. Resolve supplier and customer queries relating to stock purchases.
10. Save parts PODs on shared drive.
11. Answer communications from SISCO Equipment; issuing quotations, checking stock levels, issuing invoices.
12. Raise shipments with Pallet line/DHL.
13. Liaise with carriers regarding all import/export shipments, providing correct documentation, booking containers, and keeping track of all shipments on the water.
14. Raise commercial invoices for all exports.
15. Assist service manager with pricing customers for parts.
16. Handle all administration for new equipment sales, including raising sales orders, raising prep sheets for workshop, double-checking invoices, and sending PODs & all certification to customers.
Skills & Experience
* Previous plant hire/hire desk experience would be an advantage.
* Strong IT Skills (Outlook/Word/Excel).
* Interest in Plant/Plant Hire.
* Confident telephone manner.
* Good organizational skills.
* Attention to detail.
* An excellent work ethic.
* Good communication skills in dealing with colleagues and suppliers.
