Role Purpose:
The IPS Contract Manager will be directly responsible for all aspect of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) delivery. They will be managing a team of up to 5 team leaders, each one responsible for up to 10 Employment Specialists providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling of the IPS approach, as part of the holistic recovery plan for mental health service users. The IPS Contract Manager is also responsible for managing our IPS Quality Lead as well as overseeing the performance of our subcontractors, ensuring that support across the contract is consistent in working towards the expectations of a high fidelity service. The IPS Manager will provide a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users. You will ensure that all contractual requirements are met and that Pure Innovations achieves good rating in quality audits applicable to the contract you are responsible for.
Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
* Effectively manage a high-quality service that adheres to the principles of IPS best practice.
* Working with Senior and clinical managers to implement IPS services and continuously develop quality of provision, ensuring the service is well sponsored and there are clear expectations around IPS roles, performance and quality standards, as well as what is expected of clinical teams in supporting IPS roles.
* Facilitating the right conversations with senior managers in order to support culture change across the organisation.
* Operationalising high fidelity IPS practice in partnership with the IPS staff and clinical teams.
* Responsible for inducting, training and developing IPS roles across the organisation.
* Create a culture of continuous improvement.
* Building a strong brand for the service, both internally and externally.
* Involve service users in co-production of service developments where possible.
* Identify barriers for service excellent and work with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions to ensure a high-fidelity service.
* Preparing performance reports for key stakeholders, detailing contract performance, and addressing any concerns proactively.
* To enhance networking and bolster Pure's standing as a preferred IPS provider throughout Greater Manchester by building connections with IPS services across the area.
Leading and managing team:
* To take responsibility for the recruitment and retention of Team Leaders and Employment Specialists joining the team.
* Creating, building, leading and supervising IPS Team Leadership roles. Guide them individually on best practice and achieving individual and team job outcome targets.
* Provide solution focused monthly supervisions for each Team Leader within the team.
* Assist with the design and delivery of in-house staff training and development (including facilitating peer learning and best practice).
* Identify training needs of staff and liaise with People Department regarding arranging appropriate training to support with continuous professional development for the team.
* Assist our subcontractors by conducting monthly performance evaluations, offering best practice suggestions, and helping them overcome potential obstacles.
* To assist team leaders with risk management and approve risk assessments.
Budget responsibility
* Have a good understanding of contractual budgets and the impact of the budget in relation to delivery and met targets.
* Business development skills to enable the service to continue to retain its funding, retain a strong performance and develop opportunities to expand.
* Ensuring funding is retained, and exploring expansion opportunities.
Reporting and compliance
* Produce regular monitoring reports for internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners.
* Ensure that contractual KPI’s and quality compliance is achieved.
* Ensure quality assurance around client satisfaction. Facilitate various feedback opportunities for client to provide feedback on the service and use this to review and develop the service.
* To participate in the steering group with executive leaders from the Trust, sharing performance updates and collaborating to improve the quality of service
* To be responsible for maintaining high-quality processes, ensuring they are updated according to fidelity standards and data reporting requirements.
Other:
* Developing a range of tools to tackle myth-busting within clinical teams, ensuring that work is seen as a tool to recovery, rather than something that is delivered once people are considered ‘stable’.
* Undertake mandatory training as required, including training in the IPS approach.
* Actively participate in own continuous professional development.
* Implement the Trust/organisation’s policies and procedures as required.
* Responsible for marketing and profiling the service for the team. This includes delivering the communications strategy, collecting employment recovery stories etc.
* Regularly collect and promote service user employment recovery stories.
* Ensure that effective monitoring and evaluation systems are adhered to and keep abreast of changing practice within the sector.
* Ensure that all relevant policies are implemented such as information governance, safeguarding etc.
* To work independently, reliably and deliver consistently to deliver effective IPS practice.
* Manage feedback, comments and complaints
* To provide covering support where needed across Pure’s IPS service in Greater Manchester.
* To act as Duty Manager to Pure Employment, this may include working outside of normal working hours such as evenings and weekends.
* Provide support to the Pure Employment Team as required with regards to supporting staff to create and authorise risk assessments.
* To complete any other tasks required by the management team.
