Company Overview: Join a small international broking company, part of a larger global group. The company operates as an introducing broker rather than an interdealer broker. This role is well-suited for a confident, outgoing individual with strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure. The position demands considerable responsibility from an early stage. Key Responsibilities: Develop an understanding of commodity markets, origins, and trade flows. Learn contract terms, trade and shipping terms, and documentation requirements. Support senior brokers in client interactions and negotiations. Assist in contract execution and operations. Conduct market sector analysis and provide reports to management. Develop new leads and initiate contact with potential clients. Shadow brokers and gradually take on broking responsibilities under supervision. Handle dispute resolution processes when required. Maintain strong client relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly. Travel at short notice when necessary. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field). Strong IT knowledge. GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at grade B/6 or higher (or equivalent). Prior experience in related fields is required for the Broker position but not for the Trainee Broker role. Working Hours: Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility required to accommodate international client demands and market activity. Key Skills and Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with non-native English speakers. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
