Full Stack Engineer - London
We are sourcing a Full Stack Engineer for a London start-up. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days in their West London office. Candidates must have at least 8 years experience using the ALL of the Full Stack (Python, React, and Node.js).
Description - Strong Full-Stack Engineer with both front end (React) and back end (Node.js and/or Python). The ideal applicant would be strong in all 3! You should have experience working on desktop applications and have excellent communication skills at all levels.
The Role - As a Full Stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain a scalable platform that leverages AI and data ingestion to deliver disruptive solutions to the insurance industry. Working closely with the founding team, you will be responsible for both frontend and backend development, shaping the architecture of a transformative product.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain middleware services to integrate the frontend with backend APIs using React, Python, and/or Node.js.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative product features.
3. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across multiple platforms.
4. Design and optimize RESTful APIs, backend services, and middleware.
5. Contribute to DevOps processes, implementing CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and delivery.
6. Work on data-driven features, leveraging AI and automation to continuously improve the system.
7. Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to ensure high standards and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer in a start-up or agile environment.
2. Solid React, and backend technologies such as Python and/or Node.js, along with CI/CD tools.
3. Knowledge of data platforms and AI-driven solutions is highly desirable.
4. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is desirable.
5. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
6. Self-driven, passionate about Tech with a desire to continually learn while building scalable, robust applications and optimizing performance.
7. Experience working across a variety of environments and teams is highly desirable.
