Working with transport operators and local authorities in the UK, we're looking for a confident project manager to deliver our research and client projects.
Journey Alerts, the personalised travel information company, are developing specific functionality for anxious and disabled travellers as well as rolling out programmes with partners around the UK and beyond.
This role is about people, organisation and communication. It is not about IT, Agile or data!
As a small team, we now need some help delivering our research and client programmes, and are looking for a confident and organised delivery manager to keep things on schedule. Working with regional train and bus operators, local authorities, event and venue partners, you'll be super organised and happy to get involved in any part of the project - from desk research to running focus groups, working with people to understand their problems, and testing in the real world. You will be working with vulnerable travellers, including schools, and so a DBS certificate might be required.
Initially a 12 month, hybrid role (3 days per week with the team or on-site) based in Oxford or Solihull, with a need to travel around the UK and occasionally further; however, there is potential for the role to quickly grow into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
* Keeping the programme delivery on time, meeting milestones, keeping the team on target.
* Researching specific topics and requirements.
* Designing, organising and hosting focus groups and assisted trials.
* Working with clients and suppliers to deliver everything on time.
* Writing up findings and reporting.
* Bringing your own ideas to improve our products.
* Managing stakeholders and keeping everyone updated.
Vital Experience
You may not have done this exact role before, but you will recognise the core duties as things you're already great at! We value enthusiasm, energy, commitment and independence. Your experience should include:
* Demonstrated strong organisational skills.
* Research and problem-solving experience.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
* Enthusiasm for making a difference and challenging the status quo.
Please include a cover letter if you wish to be considered - we use cover letters to help us understand how you communicate, and how your experience could fit the challenges we face, and as such they are more important to us than your CV.
As we're not always in the office together, communication is vital! As such, we HAVE to see a cover letter from you!
* A cover letter is essential - applications without a letter cannot be considered. And please write it yourself - a few paragraphs from you is worth infinitely more than another letter from ChatGPT.
* We are unable to sponsor visa applications - applicants must already have the right to work in the location listed.
* We cannot accept remote-only applications.
* No agencies. No, really, please no agencies!
