The role of Sales Director involves developing and managing the commercial strategy, business development, and commercial budget. Additionally, the position requires maintaining relationships with existing clients and prospects to meet growth expectations in terms of revenue and profit, while improving asset management to reduce losses and increase rotations in the supply chain.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include managing the assigned organizational unit in terms of people, performance, budget, and working conditions to reach the goals. This involves ensuring an optimal and clear definition of tasks and responsibilities, managing, setting priorities, and coordinating the timely and correct execution of tasks. You will coach and challenge employees to maximize their performance and satisfaction, set, manage, and control the budget, time, and costs, and ensure a working environment that meets SHEQ policies and legislation.
In terms of Business Analysis and Development, you will conduct business analysis and participate in the development of the overall commercial strategy. You will take ownership of the selling process to acquire new business, preparing offers based on the total supply chain. Your role also involves ensuring external communication from a commercial perspective, developing sales proposals in line with retail requirements, proposing innovative ideas to improve the commercial performance of the company, and ensuring financial criteria are met and business risks are managed properly.
You will maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers and prospects to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This includes overseeing key account management and customer service, participating in networking events, and managing renter relations and cases of misuse.
Your team will consist of 2 Key Account Managers, 1 Business Development Manager, and the Customer Service/Asset Manager, who will directly report to you, with a total team of 15. You will report to the Regional Director UK & Eire and will be based at the Studley Office in Redditch, with frequent travel throughout the UK.
