An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Clerical Officer within Clinical Imaging at Bodmin Community Diagnostic Centre (on site of Bodmin Hospital), providing an efficient Imaging booking service for the Trust. We are a forward-thinking service offering an excellent team environment and development opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will be to assign appointments for all Clinical Imaging modalities and be the point of contact for patient cancellations, telephone enquiries and any other duties relating to the booking process. Other duties will include reception and general administration duties. The role will include being based at Bodmin CDC but also attending Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro for training and cover for sickness if required.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will also need to be flexible with a willingness to work rostered evenings and weekends, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage a workload to meet pre-determined targets.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of two GCSE “O” level or equivalent level of general education to include English Language and Mathematics.
* Grades A-C in English and Maths
Experience
* Proven Administration or reception experience
* Experience interacting with people
* Experience in NHS Radiology department
Practical and Intellectual Skills
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Basic knowledge in using Information Technology for Data Entry
* Experience of using PACS or CRIS IT systems
