Veterinary Care Assistant - Colchester Advanced Veterinary Practice, Vet Hospital

The focus of our VCAs is to provide exceptional multitasking assistance to our vets and nurses as well as our client care team ensuring we provide the best possible care to our clients and their pets.
Around a third of your working pattern will consist of supporting the clinical team in all aspects of day-to-day practice including:
1. laboratory work
2. stock management
3. animal handling
4. equipment cleaning/sterilisation
5. general housekeeping
For the remaining two thirds of your rota, you will be assisting the Client Care team with providing friendly face-to-face and call centre based customer service throughout the entire client journey. We are looking for a calm, attentive individual who will always focus on the clients’ needs, remaining composed in the event of a veterinary emergency or challenging circumstances. Working as part of our team, the individual joining will bring enthusiasm and drive to the role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets, therefore, giving job satisfaction and a varied set of duties on a daily basis.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week to include weekends on a rota basis creating a good work-life balance. You will be joining a highly talented, experienced and friendly team consisting of 18 vets and 40 support colleagues sharing the duties across our two practices in Colchester.
