Onsite Morning hours Waterloo, IA The position is responsible for leading and training supervisors across various functions, including production documentation, managing yields, time and attendance tracking, addressing disciplinary issues, motivating team members, and handling turnover and absenteeism. The role also emphasizes promoting safety, problem-solving, and ensuring effective performance in key areas such as safety, quality, workers' compensation, and team member morale. Additionally, the position is accountable for managing bid movement and supporting team members' adaptability to a dynamic work environment. Building a strong, communicative, and adaptable team is central to this role. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: 1 plus years experience in a supervisory role. Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management. Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects. Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors department production schedules product rotation CCP verification schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop improve deficient areas. Travel: Some travel required as needed.
