Job Title: Operations/Construction Director
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our client, a contractor specializing in Groundworks, Demolition, and Remediation works. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple projects exceeding £1.5M.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong track record in managing high-value projects in the groundwork, demo, and remediation sectors.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with senior stakeholders to secure future work and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
The role offers a competitive salary package, with a minimum of £100K and up to £150K depending on experience.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Monitor project budgets and ensure they are managed effectively.
* Identify opportunities for growth and development within the business.
* Requirements:
* Groundworks/Demolition/Remediation/Piling experience.
* Management CSCS Card.
* SMSTS qualification.
* First Aid certification.
* Proven experience as an Operations/Construction Manager or Director in a similar business.
* Strong Health & Safety background and qualifications.
* Commercial knowledge and insight.
* Operational Expertise.
* Ability to deal with contractors at all levels.
* Strong communication and IT skills.
* Ability to lead by example and drive the workforce.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Working references – essential.
