Job Introduction

In this role, you’ll be a proactive advocate for a safer, healthier workplace, ensuring compliance, driving innovation, and influencing teams to foster a positive safety culture. You’ll champion the implementation of health, safety, and quality systems, provide expert guidance on Occupational Health & Safety, and lead environmental health and safety planning. Your role will also involve investigating incidents, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and supporting behavioural safety change initiatives. Working closely with teams, you’ll develop Business Continuity Plans and ensure timely reporting and resolution of incidents. What you’ll do:
* Promote and develop a safety culture, driving the implementation of health, safety, and quality systems across the account.
* Provide expert advice and support to operational teams on Occupational Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.
* Lead environmental health and safety planning, setting goals, agreeing on priorities, and establishing systems for performance management.
* Undertake root cause analysis for lost time incidents and implement appropriate corrective actions.
* Collaborate with teams to develop Business Continuity Plans and ensure timely incident reporting and investigation completion.
* Support behavioural safety change initiatives and deliver updates on performance against health & safety targets.
What you bring:
Essential
* Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and membership of IOSH.
* Strong stakeholder management skills
Desirable
* Proven experience in facilities management within a high-profile organisation.
* Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and experience implementing safety and quality systems.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
* The capability to prioritise tasks effectively, working under tight deadlines and maintaining strong working relationships at all levels.
