An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller/ Group Accountant in the healthcare industry, located in North Yorkshire. The role requires managing financial activities, providing accurate financial information, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Client Details Our client is a large organisation in the healthcare industry, based in North Yorkshire. They are known for their innovative approach, and for being a key player in the sector. Description Oversee and manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Supporting the organisation through their audit. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Profile A successful Group Accountant should have: A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Prior experience as a Financial Accountant/ Group Accountant, preferably within the healthcare industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. Job Offer A competitive day rate of £400-500per day.
