Trainee Quality Engineer
The Role
A successful candidate would join a small team responsible for maintaining all aspects of manufacturing quality within our organization.
Role Responsibilities:
* Assist in inspecting parts being made on the shop floor for correct measurements and ensure they are created as per the drawings.
* Support and learn about ISO Audits, and work with the Quality Manager to improve on existing procedures.
* Help to promote a quality culture within the organization.
* Help to ensure the relevant processes in the Quality Manual are being adhered to.
Person Specification:
Our ideal candidate would demonstrate a moderate level of competence in computer skills, for example experience with Excel Spreadsheets and Word Documents. They would also be comfortable working as a team or on their own initiative. They should demonstrate good communication skills both verbal and written. A willingness to learn and progress is especially important.
Experience in manufacturing, especially in engineering and of quality tools such as measuring arms and Vernier gauges would be desirable although not essential as explicit training would be given.

Experience:
* A level of experience with manufacturing, especially a previous role in manufacturing quality would be beneficial although not essential. We will provide explicit training where necessary. An ability to communicate at all levels in a professional and confident manner would be a useful skill.
Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (required)
