General Assistants in Search & Seal work in a team and work well under pressure and in new environments on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the final search and sealing of all carts in line with CAA regulations. Profile Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1. Check and pack food in accordance with written specification. 2. Conduct temperature, quality and product date checks. 3. Seal flight trollies and record numbers. 4. Coordinating/ managing stock. 5. Sort and assemble bars into flights. 6. Check trolley seals and cross check with customs paperwork. 7. General washing, sorting, assembling, packing, and positioning of the aircraft equipment. 8. Process and strip trolleys and deliver to relevant department. 9. Offloading and sorting equipment/food and ensuring it is delivered to the correct processing area. 10. To load/off load-lorries, stack shelves and replenish equipment/food items. 11. Patrol premises and secure doors, windows and other entrances. 12. Check staff and visitors in and out. 13. Conduct routine searches of all items entering and exiting the premises. 14. Respond to alarms. 15. Maintain the premises safety and security standards. 16. Monitor and control access to the premises. 17. Escorting visitors and staff. 18. Conduct quality and product date checks. 19. Adhere to clean as you go standard. 20. Adhere to inflight services security compliance. 21. Interact with colleagues, customers and clients in a professional manner at all times. 22. Any other duties as requested by your line manager. Knowledge and Skills: Minimum 1 years experience in catering (desirable). The ability to work calmly under pressure. Excellent communication, team work and customer service skills. Good literacy skills, verbal written and spoken. Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DDA, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and DFT requirements. (Role specific)
