Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing wholesale business on the appointment of an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator on a full-time basis. Our client have a strong presence on the island of Ireland and are aiming to make GB their biggest market by the end of 2025.
As the Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator will report directly to the Commercial Director and work closely with the R&D, Finance, Supply Chain & Warehouse Teams to ensure smooth inventory and Quality Management.

In your new role:
* Manage financial implications of supplier contracts, including negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
* Oversee purchase allocations to ensure alignment with budget and forecasted demand, building and maintaining financial accountability with suppliers.
* Use data to create financial forecasts for inventory investments and monitor demand to maintain cost-effective inventory levels.
* Oversee cost implications in the distribution of goods, working with logistics partners to maintain budget adherence and operational efficiency.
* Monitor shipment expenses and negotiate to reduce costs associated with logistics. Inventory Management
* Evaluate inventory metrics, ensure budget alignment, and work closely with supply chain on stock replenishment based on demand forecasting.
* Align stock management with KPI targets, avoiding overstocking and mitigating financial risks of understocking.
* Communicate stock availability, lead times, and other key financial metrics to relevant teams, enhancing departmental collaboration. Quality Control
* Ensure quality standards are met by measuring the quality and quantity of production output.
* Create quality control inspections to be carried out by the warehouse team
* Use the data from inspections and audits to inform process improvement initiatives
* Ensure that QC is prioritised in supplier contracts and relationships.
What you will need to succeed:
* 2 year's experience in a similar supply chain role
* Confident communicator who can work with little supervision
* Experience working with suppliers
* Strong excel and MRP skills
* Driving license
