Quantity Surveyor – Role Summary:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure the successful financial delivery of projects, safeguarding the company from financial risks. You will manage commercial activities for large or multiple smaller projects, ensuring adherence to business procedures and financial targets.
Quantity Surveyor – What You Will Be Doing:
Collaborate and Implement: Work closely with the Regional Director/Manager and Commercial Manager, supported by a Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Monitor Performance: Ensure timely submission of data for monthly and quarterly performance analysis.
Liaise with Project Managers: Oversee commercial administration to ensure financial success and keep senior management informed.
Draft and Approve Contracts: Prepare and review sub-contracts accurately in collaboration with the commercial team.
Ensure Compliance: Meet all contractual notice and submission requirements promptly.
Manage Payments: Efficiently handle main contract payment applications, detailed claims, and final accounts.
Administer Sub-Contracts: Manage sub-contractor performance to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Cash Collection: Ensure timely submission and collection of main contract payments and prepare sub-contractor payments.
Resolve Disputes: Actively participate in dispute avoidance and resolution.
Lead Meetings: Conduct and manage project-related meetings effectively. Quantity Surveyor – Key Accountabilities:
Deep understanding of the construction industry.
Proficient in measurement and valuation techniques.
Knowledge of standard contract forms.
Strong negotiation skills with clients and sub-contractors.
Understanding of CIS.
Ability to produce accurate monthly cost reports and financial forecasts.
Team player with effective dispute resolution skills.
Experienced in risk assessment and value engineering.
Proven track record in resolving disputes and completing final accounts.
Expertise in procuring major sub-contracts.
Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience in the water industry is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CEMAR and COINS is a plus. What Our Client Can Offer:
