Role: This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Quantity Surveyor at Moreton & Partners. The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all aspects of cost control, cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting on a day-to-day basis. This role will involve managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage project costs and prepare detailed cost estimates
2. Oversee cost control, cost management, and cost reporting
3. Administer contracts and manage procurement and tendering processes
4. Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost plans
5. Provide financial advice and ensure projects are completed within budget
6. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective cost management
Qualifications:
1. Strong skills in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting
2. Knowledge of BOQ and cost planning
3. Experience in creating detailed project cost estimates
4. Expertise in contract administration
5. Understanding of procurement and tendering processes
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
8. Degree or HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
9. Professional certification (such as RICS or equivalent) is a plus but not essential. Support to achieving RICS will be provided
