Non-Functional Test Manager (BBBH10532) Cumbria, England
Denholm are delighted to be partnering exclusively with our financial services client in the search for a Non-Functional Test Manager on a contract basis.
This is a day rate role, initially for 12 months. You need to be able to start 1st April 2025. This role is primarily remote working, but will require 2 days on client site per month.
Accountabilities:
Creating non-functional test scripts across the business's ecosystems including:
* Performance Test Scripts
* Deployment Scripts
* Back Up Scripts
* Back Out Scripts
* Disaster Recovery Scripts
* Batch process scripts
* Monitoring and alerting scripts
Executing all non-functional test scripts across the business's ecosystems. Ensure there is an appropriate audit trail for all non-functional risks, issues, and decision-making. Providing MI and Reporting data on Non-Functional Test progress including tracking KPI’s. Provide an Audit trail of non-functional requirement traceability and test outcomes. Ensure defect traceability to test steps.
Essential skills and experience:
* Strong communicator with a number of years’ experience working with on-shore teams with onsite experience for up to 5 years (UK preferable). Also requires experience of dealing with offshore teams.
* Able to quickly develop and maintain excellent relationships with subject matter experts, application developers, configuration management analysts, IT architects, IT infrastructure team, testers, and system integrators.
* Planning, monitoring, and control of the defect management related activities and tasks.
* Vocal and challenging individual with an enquiring mind.
* Flexible approach with regard to changes in plans/requirements.
* Hands-on experience of JIRA and X - RAY.
* Follow and implement non-functional test policies.
* Lead, guide, and monitor the non-functional test management process.
* Chair and drive regular (e.g. daily) non-functional test calls.
* Liaison with other stakeholders; e.g. programmers, solution architects, to drive the defect resolution.
* Summary reports at specified intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, end of cycle or phase).
* Report quality status and overall progress status and trends.
* Clear reporting of dependencies in terms of test steps/scripts to defects.
* Participate in Sprint workshops and scrums.
