Donor Centre Administrator Job Summary This post will provide you with a good grounding in administrative work and the use of office procedures and equipment. There will be opportunities for you to find out about blood collection, the processes we undertake to ensure the blood is safe and the lifesaving products we make from our donations. Your essential role will directly contribute to saving and improving people s lives. Main duties of the job You will be working as part of a team to ensure that enough donor appointments are booked to collect the required blood groups on a daily basis to ensure patient requirements are met. You will provide an outstanding level of customer service as the first point of contact for donors and visitors at the donor centre or via phone or email. You will be the expert user in a variety of computer-based applications, including established software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office) and internal software for which you will be trained You will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the donor centre to ensure the overall provision of a high quality and value for money service. About You Experience and Knowledge Experience of maintaining extensive records in both paper and electronic format in a way that allows othes to quickly retrieve information Experience of working and complying with standard procedures and confidential information Experience of working in a high paced, customer focussed environment Knowledge of organising and prioritising a busy and varied workload Good working knowledge of Information Technology, covering a range of Microsoft applications or equivalent packages Qualifications and Training Educated to NVQ level 3 in Customer Service, or equivalent experience.
