As a Senior New Business Sales Manager, your key role will be to generate new sales opportunities, including new business logos, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities. You will own the delivery of the Annual Recurring Revenue and Professional Service budget for Ideagen Carbon Accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing sales professional to grow their career in a dynamic startup environment, gaining in-depth knowledge of the rapidly expanding ESG software market.
Responsibilities
* Market Knowledge and Research: Collaborate with the Ideagen Carbon Accounting team and conduct independent research on the carbon accounting market, competitors, and regulations. Support marketing activities to ensure successful campaigns.
* Lead Generation: Attend industry events, generate leads through networking, research on platforms like LinkedIn, cold calling, and working with the BDR team.
* Self-Generated Leads: Proactively develop leads via networking, research, and cold outreach.
* Sales Process Management: Manage prospects through the sales cycle using Salesforce, ensuring accurate documentation, proper sale implementation, and client engagement for at least six months post-sale. Coordinate with finance for payment processing.
* Customer Transition: Introduce new clients to the customer success team for onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
Skills and Experience
* Prospecting and lead management experience.
* Proficiency with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
* Strong skills in delivering sales presentations and demos.
* Ability to assess and qualify sales opportunities.
* Experience managing sales processes and closing deals.
* Knowledge of customer onboarding and relationship-building techniques.
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
* Negotiation and interpersonal skills for deal closure.
* Understanding of customer success strategies for new clients.
