Key responsibilities
1. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business challenges, needs, and opportunities.
2. Analyse processes, identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions to streamline operations.
3. Utilise data analysis techniques to uncover insights, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of digital innovation initiatives.
4. Aid with prioritising the most impactful changes and translating discovery and research into recommendations, accompanied by clear, concise, and actionable user stories.
5. Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of digital solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs.
6. Support project management activities, including planning, tracking, and reporting on progress.
7. Horizon scanning emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
8. Supporting the Digital Innovation Manager with Council-wide initiatives, such as the Innovation Arena.
Candidate requirements
1. Proven experience as a Digital Business Analyst or similar equivalent experience gained in a comparable role, ideally within a public sector or similar environment.
2. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
4. A solid understanding of digital technologies and their potential applications.
5. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
6. A passion for innovation and a desire to make a positive impact on our community.
7. Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Whilst this is a fixed term contract appointment, for anyone already employed by Wokingham Borough Council this would be classed as a secondment if successful. Therefore, the usual permission requests for secondments apply and you must speak to your line manager in the first instance before applying.
