DP World Minworth is currently looking for a quality technician to join their Quality Team. This person will report to the Quality Engineer and oversee a team of three pack auditors to support all quality control and improvement projects on site, as well as improving operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of process audits and ability to comply to ISO 9001, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use and install 5S procedures. Please note: We have two roles available, one on our AM shift, and one on our PM shift. We can discuss preference on the initial screening call with our talent team.
How will you contribute:
* Understand and follow the quality policies and procedures as per quality management system and how these are linked to the ISO 9001 quality standards.
* Control & monitor quality issues raising problems with team-leaders & management as required.
* Carry out internal investigations and present written and/or verbal reports.
* Identify quality improvements and assist with their implementation to find long term solutions.
* Assist in containment activities and Audit containment actions.
* Conduct system purge checks and pack audits as per requirements.
* Act as the company's representative on any quality matters raised by the customer at a production level.
* Ensure compliance for use of measuring equipment to comply with ISO 9001.
* Develop good relationships with the customer, suppliers & 3rd Party sorting companies.
* Understand process methods for NCM (Non-Conforming Material) and always ensure absolute conformity.
Minimum Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience in a quality role.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in all Microsoft applications and IT Systems.
* Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing concepts and sequence management.
* Experience within an automotive or logistics environment is preferred.
* An awareness of, and compliance with, all environmental, health and safety policies as related to the job functions including OHSAS 18001 and OISO 14001 quality & Safety standards.
