Due to continued growth, a tier one automotive supplier based in Birmingham is hiring for a maintenance engineer to join their well-established team. With a superb manufacturing facility that includes a variety of automated and semi-automated machinery, this role offers a ton of training and personal development, along with social working hours on days Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities for the electrical maintenance engineer include:
1. To provide breakdown repairs and planned maintenance to all machinery and plant on site.
2. Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum.
3. Fault finding both electrically and mechanically to diagnose faults and identify the solution.
4. Conducting TPM's through the schedule, to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected.
5. Ordering of spares and logging of all maintenance activities on the system.
To be successful in the role of electrical maintenance engineer, we're looking for:
1. A recognized qualification in either mechanical or electrical maintenance.
2. Previous exposure to maintenance of production machinery, preferably within an automotive plant.
3. A knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
4. The ability to fault find electrically and mechanically.
5. Flexibility towards overtime and additional shift-based support when team members are on holiday.
