About the opportunity The Property Portfolio Manager is a key role within the Property Investment Department in the Commercial Property team. The Property Portfolio Manager will undertake all aspects of the operational management of Council's Property Portfolio. Collaborating with the Commercial Property Program Manager, the Property Portfolio Manager will play a key role in implementing and reporting actions from the Property Investment Strategy. The Property Portfolio Manager will focus on optimising the performance of the Property Portfolio by ensuring all assets are efficiently managed, well-maintained, and strategically leveraged. This approach will minimise risks and maximise benefits, directly contributing to the financial sustainability of the Council. The role will provide expert property advice and manage acquisition, disposal, and leasing or licensing activities and permits. The role will ensure all properties are maintained in accordance with best practice strategic asset management principles. Additionally, the role involves leading team members and overseeing the work of external property managers, consultants, and contractors. Essential Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience in real estate, property management, conveyancing, project management, property economics, valuation, planning or related field Experience in portfolio management, property and asset management or property contracts including leases, licences and sale contracts Solid negotiation skills, interpersonal communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement and management skills including time and priority management High attention to detail, strong analytical, reasoning and conceptual skills with the ability to analyse information and develop creative solutions to complex problems Current Class C driver licence Desirable Experience in Local Government with working understanding and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and Council policy Commencing salary : $125,617 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation About us At Penrith City Council, we’re passionate about people; in our community and in our workplace.
