Responsible for developing and delivering QA and process automation services. Main duties of the job
The post holder will, with the Head of Development, be responsible for strategic and innovative solutions with the ability to present and articulate technical executions clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
As Senior QA/Automation specialist, the post holder will have significant authority and autonomy to ensure service delivery and quality standards are maintained within the specialist innovative technical development management unit. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the compilation of the business plan requiring development of innovative solutions that will support the Trust's Digital Clinical Strategy.
Job responsibilities
* Creating and executing automated test strategies both UI driven and coded as part of a CI pipeline
* Creating and executing manual test strategies
* Working in an Agile environment
* Engaging with project stakeholders
* Testing web-based applications and demonstrating examples of security testing
* Advanced complex data management/manipulation skills, including mainstream development IDE.
* Using advanced and highly-developed technical skills, within an operational IT, technical, or systems management function in a pro-active team-based environment.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration
* Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent experience
* Specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses
* Experience to Masters or equivalent level, plus in-depth technical and strategic knowledge. Requires developed, in-depth specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and professional experience of Quality Assurance and automation.
Experience and knowledge
* Substantial experience of creating and executing automated test strategies - both UI driven and coded as part of a CI pipeline
* Substantial experience of creating and executing manual test strategies
* Experience of working in an Agile environment
* Experience of testing web-based applications and demonstrating examples of security testing
* Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
* Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques, and methods
* Experience of API testing using tools such as Postman
* Experience of Robotic Process Automation
