Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand our Machining capabilities over the coming year.
The Position
1. Conduct inspection using CMM and other metrology equipment to verify product compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
2. Develop, validate, and maintain programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate measurements
3. Optimize measurement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy
4. Collaborate with engineering teams to analyse product manufacturability
5. Develop and execute measurement control plans, First Articles Inspection Reports (FAIR)
6. Interpret and analyse engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
7. Apply advanced measurement techniques to validate processes and improve product quality
8. Develop and document standard operating procedures for metrology and inspection processes
9. Lead investigations into non-conformance issues and customer complaints, providing detailed root cause analysis and corrective actions
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related challenges effectively
11. Interface with customers to understand and address quality concerns, providing timely resolutions and technical insights
12. Generate and issue quality statistics and communicate findings across the teams
13. Support the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks in processes and products
14. Implement preventive measures to mitigate identified risks
15. Enforce the quality disciplines and awareness of customer requirements throughout the business
16. Promote effective communication between your functional areas and other areas of the business

18. Identify and report any known or potential problems and to recommend solutions to aid subsequent risk management and corrective action activities. All workers and contractors are encouraged to participate and engage with OHSM & EMS processes
19. Must ensure all accidents, incidents are reported
20. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by following proper ergonomic, safety equipment use and hygiene practices
21. Promote environmentally friendly practices and sustainability initiatives within the workplace and complete mandatory ESH-related training and certifications

3. Mitutoyo MCOSMOS Programming
4. Educated to a Grade C or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE Level or equivalent
5. Experience within working in a Team Environment
6. Relevant CMM Programming experience minimum 3 years
7. Experience within an aerospace environment
8. Excellent communication Skills and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to use own initiative
10. Ability to manage own time effectively
